Under 3s at Fossil Bay
We have 3 different offerings available for babies and mothers (from in the belly, to walking!). All of these take place at the Fossil Bay Yurt.
We also offer Kindergarten for 2 year olds.
POSTPARTUM CIRCLE
What it is: Join our welcoming community of mothers and babies! Our group is a place where mothers come together with their little ones, fostering connections with fellow parents, engaging in insightful discussions on various topics, and sharing the ups and downs of motherhood. Guiding our conversations is Karianne, who practised midwifery in the Netherlands.
Who is it for: Mothers and caregivers of babies aged 0-1
When it is: Mondays, 11:45AM - 1.00PM during term times.

PLAYCIRCLE
What it is: Following our baby group, we invite you to join our Playcircle – a welcoming community that embraces parents, grandparents, and caregivers with babies and toddlers. During these sessions, the little ones have become more active and delight in baking buns, singing songs, exploring both indoor and outdoor play, and immersing themselves in captivating seasonal puppet stories.
Who is it for: Parents and caregivers of children aged 1-3
When it is: Mondays 9:00AM-11:00AM during term times.

KINDY for 2 YEAR OLDS
At Fossil Bay, our youngest children are welcomed into the life of the kindergarten alongside the older ones. This creates a natural, mixed-age environment where the little ones are nurtured by their teachers and gently guided by the example of the older children. With high teacher-to-child ratios, a beautiful, natural, screen-free setting, and a focus on nurturing the head, heart, and hands, every child is supported to feel at home.
Each day follows a gentle rhythm inspired by Steiner education — flowing through circle time, free play, bun baking, story time, outdoor exploration, and rest. This consistency provides security while leaving space for joy, imagination, and discovery.
Key Information:
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 15.00pm
Flat Daily Fee - $84 (price will reduce when the child turns 3 as Ministry funding increases then. If funding to 2 year olds from the Ministry changes, Fossil Bay will review our fee)
