  • Harvest Fair 29 March 2026: The day of the year where we invite everyone to experience the magic of Fossil Bay with games, food and a festive spirit.

    Lantern Festival 24 June 2026: A beautiful festival marked by a multitude of handmade lanterns. The community meets in the evening for a lantern walk and the singing of songs around the fire.

    Spring Festival 24 Sep 2026: The children celebrate the Spring equinox, making their own flower garlands to wear, dancing around the maypole, playing music and singing songs.

    Advent Festival 29 Nov 2026: A festival of beauty and light, including a ceremony suggested by Rudolf Steiner, in which each child quietly walks around a big spiral of roses and greenery to light a candle at its centre.

  • Before the start of each term, families come to school and kindergarten for a working bee to freshen up the property for a new term. Your participation not only allows us to keep fees to a minimum, but the working bees build community. We come together and work, get to know each other and the property better, and the children observe the adults caring for their environment.

Reporting Absentees:

Please remember to keep your child home if they are unwell to prevent the spread of illness and viruses. Children must be kept home for 48 hours after the last episode of either vomiting or diarrhoea. If your child will be absent on a specific day, please text

Kindy Holiday Program

Fossil Bay Kindergarten offers a holiday program for those families that need support during the holidays. It runs similarly to a normal kindy day, 8.00am - 15.00pm. Your child must be pre-enrolled for this program as we plan staff accordingly. The cost is $29 per day. Please find the enrollment form here.
