International Students
Fossil Bay School is situated in the beautiful and peaceful, semi-rural grounds of Fossil Bay Farm, a short distance from the main ferry terminal and the main village of Oneroa on Waiheke Island. Waiheke is well known for it’s vibrant island community of around 9,000 permanent residents, pristine beaches, regional parks, creative arts scene, local artisans, vineyards and olive groves, and is only a 35 minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland.
The school caters for children aged 6-9, with a long-established kindergarten alongside that caters for children aged 3-6. A Playcircle caters for children up until the age of 3 to attend with a parent or caregiver, until they are ready to start kindergarten.

We welcome enquiries from international students from around the world. We believe having international students in our school will be culturally enriching for our students, teachers and families. We also believe our school provides a warm, welcoming and positive experience for international students who wish to experience life and a schooling experience in a beautiful part of New Zealand.
School term dates and opening hours
Our academic year starts in early February and finishes in mid-December, at which time our summer holidays start. The year is divided into four terms of 9-10 weeks each. During term time school operates 8.45am - 2.45 Monday-Thursday and from 8.45am - 1.30pm on Fridays (activity day).

Fees for International Students
Non-NZ residents, 2023, all figures include GST:
Enrolment fee NZ$300, a one-off payment, non-refundable.
NZ$3,600.00 tuition fee per student, per term. (There are 4 terms in a school year).
NZ$275 per annum for curriculum resources and facilities upgrade.
Note that all fees are subject to annual review and may change in the future.
